Braskem PIB 128 is a low color, transparent non-drying synthetic polyisobutylene polymer with high molecular weight and viscosity. PIB 128 is suitable for use in lubricants, stretch films, adhesives, and sealants. PIB 128 imparts a very high degree of tack to formulations in which it is included. PIB 128 exhibits excellent lubricant qualities, and is compatible with synthetic polymers, including polyethylene, polypropylene, and most natural rubbers, resins and waxes. PIB 128 is non-toxic, and is NSF certified to meet requirements for cosmetics and food grade applications.
