Cetearyl Alcohol is a multipurpose thickener. NF grade, 95% active ingredient. Composed of fatty alcohols, 70:30 ratio. C18 wt% stearyl alcohol 60-75% and C16 wt% cetyl alcohol 25-35%. HLB 15.5 (forms water-in-oil emulsions only to a limited extent). Non-gelling thickener, viscosity and consistency enhancer. Also useful in anhydrous products such as lipsticks.
